About Me
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker credentialed to conduct psychotherapy in the State of New York and Florida (via telehealth), specializing in LGBTQQIA spectrum health and wellness. I am a member of the World Professional Association for Transgender Health. In addition to my private practice, I am also a member of the Executive Committee at ICP’s Psychotherapy Center for Gender & Sexuality as well as profiled on Manhattan Alternative.
After graduating from Hunter’s Silberman School of Social Work in 2009, I began practicing in an urban medical setting in the South Bronx where I counseled newly diagnosed and perinatally infected HIV+ children, adolescents and adults. I then went on to serve as supervisor in NYC’s Human Resources Administration’s HIV/AIDS Services Administration’s (HASA) Emergency Housing Placement Unit where I advocated on behalf of homeless people living with HIV/AIDS to find supportive housing and shelter.
I have clinical expertise in areas including: HIV/AIDS and access to PrEP, coming out, trans/queer/NB identity exploration, alternative relationships including open/poly, phase of life issues, and emotional states including stress, grief, bereavement, depression, anxiety, psychosis and complex trauma.
The mission of my practice is to provide informed care to those representing intersectional identities and backgrounds. However you define your gender and sexuality, I will meet you where you are. Together we will address the problems bringing you to therapy, including identifying any negative thought patterns and other barriers standing in the way of you and your wellbeing. My practice offers an inviting and affirming space to do so, and my relational style is warm and collaborative.
